Sprite Rebrand

“In a world more heated than ever before, we feel the time has come to launch the first unified platform and visual identity on Sprite, to provide a consistent consumer experience around the world, introduce a new younger audience to the brand, engaging them in moments of physical or mental heat throughout their day, and offer them exciting experiences by tapping into passion points like music,”
– Shrenik Dasani, Global Brand Director of Sprite.

In 2022, Sprite rolled out its first-ever global rebrand through the "Heat Happens" campaign. Formed around some key ideas; Global Consistency, Refreshment, and Bold Clarity, the rebrand presents an updated visual language that stays true to the brand's original essence and Coca-Cola's primary mission.

A lead aim for the rebrand was the redesign of the packaging, changing the green PET bottles to clear, which is more favorable to recycling processes worldwide. The intrinsic visual language relies on universal cues for the broader product flavor system and is grounded in the color palette. The new wordmark itself is a system, with language and alphabet translations worldwide, maintaining its "First Read" impression globally. The Spark, now separated from the wordmark, is used as a product identifier throughout the packaging. The brand system is simple and concise, which allows for really expressive campaigns.
