Mahana Content Design, Strategy & UX Writing

I joined Mahana Therapeutics in February 2020 as the first content designer, strategist and UX writer to develop content for what would become the first FDA-cleared prescription digital therapeutic app for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Alongside product designers, clinicians, UX researchers and engineers, we built a multi-session therapy program to teach people healthy habits and a variety of skills rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy as a way to retrain the brain-gut connection. The Mahana IBS app has supported thousands of people in improving their gut health and overall well-being.
In the years following, I moved into a leadership role that offered me the opportunity to scale the content design team in a fully remote setting. I also initiated new processes and procedures for content management of a regulated product, led the development of a robust Contentful manual to support content admins and created a reusable content library to allow the team to build a pipeline of new products at scale both quickly and efficiently. 

In 2023, we launched our second commercial product: the Mahana Tinnitus app for people living with tinnitus. Most notably, I've led or supported nearly every content activity on the product side and jumped in on marketing materials too.

• Product emails, drip campaigns and nurture campaigns
• Registration and onboarding
• Product content for a suite of six products
• Video and audio content, including a highly successful "Mahana grad" selfie video series
• Clinical study and usability testing outreach and surveys

• Mahana Care (customer service) call scripts

I also became adept at using Figma and a Contentful CMS guru. Yep, I even know how to edit JSON blobs.
