Every year, Google's Pixel comes loaded with a large selection of wallpapers. The Come Alive set consists of interactive visuals that make use of data collected from the phone sensors, producing a mini narrative as individuals engage with their device.
The Sundial wallpaper is a set of graphic compositions as seen from a bird’s eye point of view with a light source that simulates the sun’s position in the sky. The time of the day affects how shadows are projected onto the scene and onto objects. The lighting mirrors the geo-location of the phone causing variations in the compositions' hues during morning, noon and night time.
Interactions play a major role in providing a richer experience. When unlocking the device a camera animation triggers to greet the owner. Using data from the accelerometer in the phone, the wallpaper reacts to the motion of the hand revealing different angles of the compositions.
