NBA Australia Social Revamp

The global NBA brand sought to enhance its engagement across social channels in Australia, primarily focusing on its newly launched NBA Australia Instagram page. Additionally, they aimed to create a fresh and captivating approach to presenting key statistics, milestones, and graphics, with the dual purpose of expanding their fan base and streamlining graphic creation.

Goals & Challenges
The overarching goal was to develop a series of templates that could be efficiently replicated in a short timeframe for promoting statistics, milestones, achievements, trades, and more, in a manner that would captivate the audience. The primary challenge lay in crafting templates tailored to meet the specific requirements of each NBA team and player. With contrasting team colors and logos, these templates had to be versatile enough to be easily reproduced by team members without graphic design backgrounds, yet maintain a professional and engaging appeal to reinforce the NBA Australia brand.

Bringing Design to Life
Leveraging Adobe Photoshop, Harry designed and developed five PSD templates for each of the 30 NBA teams along with the Australian Boomers. These templates comprised multiple layers that could be easily toggled on or off to match the specific team's branding. PSB files were employed for dynamic player content updates, while .txt files ensured swift text editing across all graphics.

The Results were Immediate
In the first 90 days following the template delivery, NBA Australia utilised the graphics a number of times on their channel. These posts utilising the graphics saw an increase of +143 Like Rate and a +74% Comment Rate when compared to all other posts. The instagram page grew tremendously following this increased engagement, growing followers by +34%.
