Culture Chanel No5

In celebration of the hundredth anniversary of Coco Chanel’s masterpiece, No 5, the iconic brand arranged an exhibition which would bring Chanel’s influences and references to life in Paris’ iconic Palais De Tokyo. We were tasked to design a brand and marketing campaign for the experience, entitled No 5 Culture Chanel.

After poring over historical documents and exploring numerous design directions, we set about to create an identity from existing references: a synthetic image of the No 5 bottle which was composited from dozens of unique designs across the decades.

From this image, the remainder of of the experience fell into place. A digital catalog of the exhibit with megapixel zoom images of personal ephemera and creative inspiration never before collected in one place. To promote the exhibit, a series of ads and printed materials blanketed Paris leading of to opening night.
