Advoc8 is looking for a Freelance Digital Content Producer (Contract) in Washington, DC, USA.


ADVOC8 is looking for a digital content producer (DCP) who is passionate not only about telling and sharing stories, but also about discovering them. As part of one of our high level client teams, the DCP would be responsible for supporting the project team in all aspects of content and story research and program development required in producing anywhere from 15 to 24 virtual events over the course of the next 6-8 months. The DCP would coordinate across the project team to ensure all deliverables are being met.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Concept, research and develop programming ideas and segments for 15-24 sponsored or unsponsored virtual event programs. The programs will include both live and packaged content.
-Outline and draft program run of shows, questions, talking points and content for 15-24 sponsored or unsponsored virtual event programs.
-Coordinate with event speakers as and hosts to confirm participation, prep for content and ensure execution as required.
-Pitch and present programming ideas to internal and client team members for final approval.
-Lead brainstorming sessions to develop program and segment ideas and concepts.
-Work alongside designers and production team to create and draft all content and copy required for the virtual program.
-Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications include:
-Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or equivalent experience in the field
-At least 2-3+ years of experience producing, which includes hands-on experience overseeing and also producing content for live events, film or tv production
-Strong writing and communication skills
-Strong research skills and editorial judgement
-Ability to work independently and provide creative solutions to programming development
-Ability to draft pitch documents and decks from scratch
-Familiarity with trade associations, workforce issues or manufacturing policy a bonus
-Strong working knowledge of G Suite - Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides

Our ideal candidate would also have the following additional skills :
-Experience using applications (Wirecast, vMix, etc) and equipment to produce digital content, podcasts and/or live broadcasts
-Working knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Premiere a huge plus and/or can compose and shoot good video and photos, edit well, and output quality content (including appropriate audio).
-Has a full range of experience to independently produce digital video content - from concept through to delivery.
