Sweet Baby Jason! it's a Freelance job

We are looking for a multi-talented Senior Designer to temporary backfill our current Art Director during her maternity leave (April - June 2021).

Ideally, we would like the Senior Designer to freelance for Modern Adventure on a project by project basis from January until the maternity leave begins for brand familiarity and ease in transition. Remote work available, flexible on weekly hours.

What You Do:

• Work closely with content, marketing, account management, sales, and trip operation teams to meet objectives and timelines
• Responsible for concepting, designing, and editing for Modern Adventure web, print, and digital platforms
• Perfect the art of storytelling through thoughtful imagery selection
• Maintain brand consistency throughout all projects
• Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills
• Ability to meet deadlines in high-pressure environment
• Foundational knowledge of photography usage & placement, typography, and layout design
• Comfortable listening to feedback to sharpen skills and improve designs
• Constantly innovating and pushing oneself to learn new skills and techniques
• Always looking for ways to push the Modern Adventure brand forward with innovative ideas and designs
• Passion for travel and creating high-quality work

What You’ll Bring:

Bachelor's degree in graphic design or art direction
• 5+ years’ graphic design experience
• Familiarity with Social Media, tools, techniques and planning
• Proven background and solid understanding of digital design tools and design processes
• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience in Adobe XD, Sketch and/or other UI Design Applications
• Proven background and solid understanding of digital design tools and design processes
• Great time management skills
• Solid foundation in typography and layout composition
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Desire to work in a deadline-driven environment and ability to set and meet goals
• Must submit an online portfolio
