Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a freelance remote Design Lead - available 2 days per week
You will oversee all marketing / communication design at Format
You will be asked to do hands-on work as well as manage the work of other freelance consultants
You will collaborate with Format’s marketing team and occasionally Format’s CEO to produce work as per roadmap defined
We are looking for someone with a good eye for photography / image curation, great design skills and experience, and effective communication skills
You are a systems designer - you understand the value of a company style guide and know how to utilize and organize information and expand it over time as necessary

What we require from you:
Expertise in communication and web design including overseeing or producing motion design
Review coded deigns and provide developers feedback
A commitment of 2 days per week, must be available for meetings and on Slack during the hours of 9:00 am - 3:00 pm EST on the specified two days
This is a remote role; you can be located anywhere in the world as long as you can overlap with our working hours (as stated above)
Must have experience working in Figma, Sketch, After Effects (or other motion design tools)
You know how to manage your own pipeline of work using project management tools
Budget: This will be a position paid on a monthly retainer. If we expand to more days the retainer will increase
