We’re looking for a passionate product manager to drive the future of our commerce product suite. You will play a critical role in guiding the development and evolution of our shopping experiences at Group Nine, a position which allows you to both shepherd a major revenue driver and shape the direction of our commerce strategy. You’ll set short, medium, and long-term strategic direction for your product area, identify areas of critical need based on future growth, and develop roadmaps to attack these problems.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

- Own our commerce products, driving product strategy and delivery, metrics and data, testing and optimization, customer experience, and advertiser experience.
- Develop innovative product strategy specific to each brand’s audience and business goals
- Measure impact and success of each feature by setting and tracking KPIs
- Understand macro-level goals and optimize commerce experience to maximize revenue per session and reduce the reliance on display advertising
- Marry high-level business plans with audience needs and translate them into a strategic long-term roadmap for our commerce products
- Make appropriate trade-off decisions to optimize time-to-market and clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to your cross-functional team
- Work with our sales team to develop effective lower funnel marketing solutions that optimize for conversion rate and margin
- Embrace and drive strategy around Group Nine’s design system/component library, ensuring everything we build is scalable and repeatable but with enough flexibility to allow brands to still feel distinct and allow for differences in content, tone and audience
- Manage relationships with 3rd party vendors. Responsible for making build vs. buy decisions
- Perform analysis of industry trends and competitive activity for products and use this information to inform decisions about how best to increase Group Nine’s user engagement through on-site experiences
- Have strong opinions about design and user experience as well as the analytic background necessary to track adoption and performance of your program

The ideal Product Manager, Commerce candidate will:

- Have 3+ years of Product Management experience, preferably within the E-commerce space
- Have a track record of successfully shipping high visibility, high-impact products
- Have a competitive understanding of the digital media landscape
- Possess a strong knowledge of technical concepts and are very comfortable working with engineers to grasp and articulate complex systems
- Are passionate about digging into and solving problems. You offer creative and feasible solutions
- Have exceptional verbal/written communication skills
- Have amazing attention to detail and organizational skills
- Are comfortable working in a fast-paced ever-changing environment and have the ability to gracefully handle multiple ongoing projects
- Care deeply about usability and design
- Have experience with agile teams and using ticketing systems (we use JIRA)
- Ideally have experience with the affiliate ecosystem.
- Ideally have commerce / E-commerce experience
