Lemonade is looking for an Illustrator/Animator in Soho, New York .
We’re looking for an illustrator-animator to join Lemonade’s internal creative agency. You’ll design new characters, stories, and scenes, then bring these to life in ad campaigns, product features, and site designs.
As an illustrator, you’ll work with the Design Lead to evolve the current house style and set the rules for how illustration fits within the overall brand. As an animator, you’ll define the way the brand moves and behaves, always exploring new techniques.
You’re not just someone who can skillfully make things look good. You’re someone who can solve every brief through illustration and play.
If you’re looking for a home—challenging the status quo alongside fellow agency and art-school misfits—then this job’s for you.
- 3-5 years experience as an illustrator/animator at an animation or design studio, creative agency or in-house team
- Wealth of experience with character design and character animation
- Mastery of Creative Suite, and AfterEffects
- Bonus points for experience with AdobeAnimate, Cinema4D or cel animation

Lemonade is a licensed insurance carrier offering renters and homeowners insurance powered by artificial intelligence and behavioral economics and driven by social good. Instead of brokers and bureaucracy, we use bots and machine learning to create an insurance experience that is instant (90 seconds to get insured!), affordable (policies start at $5/month), and paperless.
Founded by Shai Wininger and Daniel Schreiber and backed by SoftBank, GV, Sequoia, General Catalyst, Aleph, and others, we’re transforming insurance from a necessary evil into a social good by injecting technology and transparency into an industry that often lacks both.
We believe in doing things differently, pushing boundaries, and questioning everything. And as a Certified B-Corp, we incorporate our values of doing good into everything we do – from our business model to our office culture, committing to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
