Rothy’s is looking for a Junior to Mid level Graphic Designer with experience working on paid and organic social design to join our Brand Design team. One of the areas of focus on our Brand Team is paid and organic social, this team is responsible for the art direction and design for all social media content. This role would specifically assist in the creation of motion graphics, implementing innovative design solutions, and aid in the ideation process with our social team leads.
About the Team:
The Brand Marketing team spans many aspects of the business and includes roles in graphic design, social media, and public relations, to name a few. Since the roles with this department are varied, so are the people—in the best way! This team is laser focused on bringing the brand to life through rich storytelling, and they work together to accomplish this across multiple media and platforms.
About the Role:
This person should have a strong understanding of how people shop online and how cross-channel and social platforms integrate with e-commerce websites. We’re looking for someone with an elevated design aesthetic that can follow Rothy’s brand guides and nail the use of balanced white space on the first try.
This position reports to Social Art Director under the Design Director as part of the Marketing team.
What you'll do:
Must have experience creating motion graphics, must be proficient in After Effects and creating GIFs.
Interpret and assist in developing Rothy’s existing brand for social/digital, bringing our brand to life on our social platforms in a way that is consistent with all of our other consumer touch points (product, packaging, etc.) as well as our brand mood boards and references.
Work collaboratively as a member of the design team, focused on functional, delightful, beautiful user experiences across all touchpoints.
Collaborate with growth marketing and digital product managers to make data-driven design decisions based on analytics and user feedback.
Structure Photoshop comps to optimize efficient workflow and production.
Follow and maintain brand identity standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design / Communication Arts / Motion Graphics
Extensive experience with motion graphics
At least 2 - 4 years of working in a professional digital design setting or social driven environment
Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects
A solid understanding of how responsive design and the mobile-first approach
Obsessive attention to detail
Ability to successfully work on multiple projects at once
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-productivity environment with tight deadlines
High-end, editorial design aesthetic, with strong attention to detail
