Scholastic is looking for a Freelance Freelance Digital Designer in New York, NY, USA.
Three words to describe this job are creative, systematic, collaborative.
Our motto is to encourage the intellectual and personal growth of all children, beginning with literacy.
This is a great opportunity because you can contribute to Scholastic’s growing digital capabilities while working to improve children's lives.
The ideal personality for this role is enthusiastic (about creative problem solving) , detail oriented (to ensure pixel perfect designs) and collaborative (across disciplines).
You need to be well-equipped to work on a variety of projects including email designs, merchandising designs, display ads, social, and general production design.
You should be comfortable working within existing design systems while also knowing when to break out and make new extensible patterns.
You would work closely with the visual design team (including art directors, senior designers, and photo editors) in collaboration with Scholastic’s editorial, digital marketing, and merchandising teams.
You'd be supporting Scholastic's editorial sites, e-commerce sites and social channels, while helping to establish a new design culture.
The best way to describe our culture is bookish, great work-life balance, diverse and supportive.
You'll love our office because we have Clifford the big red dog. And Harry Potter! And a brand new roof-top cafeteria!
