The Associate Copywriter contributes to the co-op’s success by writing copy across all customer contacts that deliver on brand, strategic, and business goals. They work with other Copywriters, Art Directors, and Designers to bring creative concepts to life. The Associate Copywriter will be responsible for creating and editing copy that reflects REI's tone and voice, focusing less on the generation of an idea, and more on the perfect way to express it through words.

Responsibilities
-Creates consistency across marketing by writing and proofreading copy in a way that reflects the REI brand, our Copy Style Guide, company strategy, and project strategy
-Under general direction, develops headlines and body copy for all forms of content across various channels such as organic & paid social, email, REI's digital ecosystem, paid media, and other digital advertising channels
-Communicates with appropriate department personnel to confirm and complete all assigned tasks
-Works effectively by setting goals, establishing priorities, and planning ahead to produce quality work
-Meets deadlines and keeps others informed of work plans and progress toward goals
-Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals
-Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities
-Builds rapport with people throughout the organization
