About

Cake & Arrow is looking for a contract Product Designer who can bring ideas to life. Our client has a new, innovative concept that our team will be able to brainstorm, research, and create a clickable prototype to test. This Product Designer will collaborate with UX research and with the Project Lead.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with UX designers, user researchers, content strategists, product leads, and developers to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas through mockups and prototypes various levels of fidelity
- Create functional prototypes for user testing
- Concept and design component and page level interactions, including motion.
- Maintain and set design direction from client’s implied design system
- Present design and rationale to the internal team and the client.
- Deliver production-ready design assets and be able to effectively document and communicate functionality intentions to developers

Experience Required
- Creating a new product in the market, being able to brainstorm and pitch in innovative ideas and bring them to life
- Leading internal and client presentations.
Minimum over 6 years of experience with Product Design & Innovation
- Figma

Nice to Have
- Insurance experience/familiarity
- Working as a contractor with an agency
- Collaborator who can also go heads down on own work track
- Candidate must be available to work full time during the contract period, available for meetings during normal working hours, and quickly over Slack for impromptu conversations with limited exceptions.

Timeline
- The role will start the first week of June 2023
- The contract is roughly 3 months (June to beginning of September)
- Estimated 30-35 hours/week
