As a Copywriter at Ready Set Rocket, you will report directly to the Creative Director of Copy and be responsible for writing and helping to develop ideas that scale, while strategically connecting a brand to their mission via creative messaging. You are someone who is conceptual in your writing, whether it be social or website copy – always keeping a brand’s goals and audience needs in mind. You have experience crafting copy for a variety of brands and are able to adapt for different audiences and tones. You’re always thinking of creative ways to elevate the work and pitch in where needed, demonstrating a passion for award-winning creative through your obsession with words.
What Success Looks Like:
Collaborate with the teams to position brands with original and insightful ideas.
Create compelling copy/storytelling across a variety of B2B and B2C brands, including financial services, food and beverage, and media
Write copy for a variety of creative deliverables, including social, video scripts, integrated campaigns, websites, etc.
Help to ideate on and create content strategies and messaging frameworks for brands
Help translate copy/ideas into visual experiences
Help concept and scale ideas
Manage timelines effectively
What You Bring to the Table:
Qualified candidates must show proven experience writing copy and developing narratives across a variety of mediums and platforms. They should be as comfortable writing short, punchy headlines as they are developing content strategies, integrated campaigns, and marquee brand experiences from concept through execution.
4-6 years of agency experience, preferably at a digital or advertising agency
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, creative writing or similar
Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of content strategy – how it is shaped and how it supports the ongoing engagement
An understanding of the customer journey and ways to communicate key messaging
