Gutsy Media / Wake Up & Vote is looking for a cross between a data geek and creative thinker for their Freelance Audience Researcher position in Remote. Must love reading and taking notes and be able to articulate sociological things in a way that makes sense for creative minds.
We're looking for a creative researcher to spend 3-4 days digesting data from our clients (ethnographic and sociological studies, audience profiles etc) into creative audience briefs that will serve as starting points for writers and creatives to work from in "writers rooms" for short content. Your task is to "paint a picture" of WHO our creatives should be creating FOR so the team can imagine who they are developing content for.
This job is great for an independent worker who loves to read and takes great notes on the high-level important pieces. Categories in the briefs will include data-based things like audience statistics as well as cultural touch points (What types of music does this audience listen to? What issues do they care about? What shows do they watch?). Most of this information will be include in client reports but sometimes it will require some internet sleuthing and further digging.
We have a consistent need for this position but this particular job posting is for 4 separate creative briefs -- each anticipated to take about 3-4 days to draft.
