John McNeil Studio is looking for a Senior Motion Designer/Animator to join our team. We are a creative marketing company made up of a collection of diverse skill sets: strategists, writers, designers, filmmakers, technologists, and photographers who help brands reinvent themselves through digital transformation. We are founded in aesthetics but also in utility and we make things that make brands thrive.

As a Senior Motion Designer you will concept and lead animation projects for our production arm, The Annex. As a Senior Motion Designer, you have a passion for visual design and animation, you’re fluent in After Effects and can create gorgeous style frames by any means necessary. More importantly, you can take a project from the very beginning and come up with a compelling way to tell the story visually.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design for our motion graphics projects- will need to be comfortable with a wide range of visual and animation styles.
Create style frames and storyboards that excite both our clients and the team- we want you to push the boundaries!
Work as a senior animator, producing amazing work.
Lead and grow a team of motion artists.

Qualifications and required skills:
5+ years of motion graphic design/animation experience (agency preferred).
Strong motion design portfolio.
Great animation skills in After Effects and C4D- we want to see an amazing reel.
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite as well as all aspects of video Post Production, including knowledge of editing, color grading, and mastering for delivery.
Expertise in Keynote and Google Drive.
Expertise in graphic design, drawing/sketching, typography, color theory, visual presentation development, and layout skills.
Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
Can work well in a remote team environment.
Strong, proactive work ethic.
Solid understanding of compositing, roto, tracking, matte painting
