Friends At Work is looking for a Freelance UX Designer in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
FAW is an agency that focuses on work that has meaningful social impact. We're currently working on a foundation setting project in Education Tech that's looking to shape how students learn two years from now. The mission for the company is to enhance the overall value of higher education and improve student outcomes. It assists students to study more effectively and improve their performance, enabling them to gain the valuable skills necessary to succeed. This work will reimagine the current product by disrupting and pushing the education space forward, moving beyond the expectations of today. The team will have the ability to affect the experience for many with a platform that reaches millions.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Learning the client’s business objectives and accomplishing those through strategically sound creative ideas with a user need centric approach.
Prototype solutions, digital products and interfaces in ways that clearly illustrate how elements function, appear, and move
Design with an emphasis on user flow and user centric design
Design with an emphasis on reducing decision friction in a product design for the user
Work collaboratively with user experience research teams
Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment with, user experience research teams, writers, and strategists
Work autonomously, with little direction
Apply consistency and continuity of brand across a variety of deliverables in the design and layout of client projects.
Design comps, graphic elements, and final deliverables.

Experience as a UX/UI Designer with an emphasis in product design native and web app product design
Strong information architecture background
Strong understanding of designing for accessibility
Strong at wireframing and prototyping
Approachable, collaborative, results-oriented, problem-solver who can both provide and take direction well
Strong team player with a high level of enthusiasm in collaborating across teams
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, UX Design, Industrial or Product Design preferred
Proficient in Adobe Suite, GSuite, Figma, and Sketch.
