As the Account Director, which is a hybrid project and account management role, you’ll drive strong partnerships with clients, from initial new business efforts through execution. You will be responsible for overseeing project development from concept to delivery, providing guidance for internal teams, establishing meaningful relationships with our clients, and building upon our growth through new business. This role will manage a team who are responsible for day-to-day account operations and relationship management. You should have extensive experience with overall account management, account growth, and leadership of cross-functional teams to develop approaches and targets that meet the business goals of our clients.

This role requires strong strategic thinking, obsessive organization and strong communication skills. You must be able to keep sight of the big picture while focusing on the minutia, supporting and contributing to teams, keeping calendars, tracking budgets and liaise with clients when necessary and appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

Organize, attend and lead new business meetings
Create clear and compelling Scopes of Work
Negotiate scope, timeline, pricing and secure PO’s in partnership with clients
Resource project teams
Prepare internal project briefs and lead kickoffs to help onboard teams
Contribute to the design process by having a point of view on the brand vision, strategic direction, and business objectives
Collaborate across disciplines to track overall project health, as the owner of the project
Consistently manage client expectations, ensure delivery of the highest quality service, and solicit and act on client feedback
Help identify organic growth opportunities with existing clients and initiate long-term planning with internal teams to bring these opportunities to fruition
Influence and bring in new business as well as build on existing business relationships
Actively involved in unlocking new opportunities within our current or new companies
Constant work to expand contacts with key client executives and maintain strong post-engagement relationships introducing new opportunities accordingly
Establish project requirements, priorities and deadlines both internally and with clients
Develop and maintain appropriate levels of communication with the client, internal team members, and staff to ensure proper coordination of all project scopes and deliverables
Responsible for keeping all projects up to date in Aruliden’s internal project management tool (Mavenlink) to ensure project profitability and efficiency, on an ongoing basis
Work closely with finance and leadership team to understand overall project profitability & bottlenecks
Review, prioritize and communicate daily/weekly project requests and timelines with the brand, product, and strategy teams
Identify appropriate resources based on project scopes and to evaluate teams for assigned projects
Monitor and manage multiple project work-flows with respect to resources and schedules and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs or requirements
Follow up with team members and project stakeholders regarding project status
Maintain constant knowledge for current and upcoming projects
Our Requirements:

6-8 years of account management experience in brand, design and/or innovation working across branding, digital, product, environment and marketing projects
Strong leader and communicator
Solution-oriented with a positive attitude
Self-motivated by an extremely collaborative and fast-moving environment
Passion for design, brands and trends
Excellent communication, organization and time management skills
Energetic self-starter who isn’t afraid to jump in and roll up their sleeves
Proficient with Resource & Project management applications similar to Mavenlink and/or 10,000 ft
Strong and driven, but knows when to go with the flow and changes in the process
