The Data Lab is and innovative research center at the University of Michigan's School of Social Work; the lab uses data analysis, a contrast to the usual methods used in the social work field, to improve social services in Michigan. I designed the icons to represent the Data Lab's four areas of focus: Data Driven Decision-Making, Linking Allied Systems, Innovating Data Solutions, and Capacity Building. Building the brand out from this, I designed print materials to communicate this mission to the public, going for a friendly yet analytical aesthetic to mirror the lab's work.
