While freelancing at SuperHeroes NY, I was one of the lead creatives on the AkzoNobel’s social account. They have a boat in the upcoming 2017-2018 Volvo Ocean Race and the crew came to NYC for a little PR, meet and greets, and hospitality tours for a week. Our job was to get people excited about the upcoming race and to inform everyone about them being here in the city so we made a ton of posts on FB, Instagram, TW, and LinkedIn. Using the AkzoNobel colors as the main color palette, we took over the Global Instagram account to highlight the crew’s visit in NYC. A 15-image (and video) color story showcases their visit. This is a very human story so we made sure our images captured everyone in a natural looking environment all while paying attention to AkzoNobel’s main color palette. Working with our editor, we cut existing footage from the client and told some amazing stories on Facebook (8 in total). I also worked closely with our CCO, figuring out the best stories to tell and the questions to ask for most of the videos. I also worked closely with our photographer, making sure we captured the best human possible stills for all content across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
