Family Jr. Brand Guidebook

Family Jr., a specialty television channel aimed at preschool-aged children, thoughtfully wanted to provide its in-house team with a brand guidebook to clearly lay out their network’s brand identity. Because the guidebook is incredibly extensive with what could have been an intimidating volume of information, we wanted to counteract this effect by instilling a little fun into the design. We mimicked the look and feel of a children’s book, using elements such as section headers that looked as if they were written in lined paper or placing elements askew. The look of the guidebook remains beautiful and clean in design, maintaining its practical application and ease of use to retrieve information. However, we instilled a bit of playfulness into every page to keep within the Family Jr. brand. Made at Rogers TV Creative Director: Rich Scurry
