In the final year of my degree, I was given the brief for my final major project. This was a year long project and we could take it in any direction that we wanted.
Since I joined uni, I was always going to the gym. I lost a lot of weight and since then I have been an avid gym member. I decided to make a book about 'Gym Vernacular'.
Gym culture has been one of the fastest growing parts of our society. Its developed its own language, stereotypes and is now more like a religion.
I wanted to create something that explained gym vernacular. How the language, the people and the gym itself all combines to create a culture. The book is focused on typography and image with a lighthearted tone.
UPDATE: This project was picked by DigitalArts to be featured in their top 8 projects from the 2016 New Designers graduate showcase.
