As the 2017 Golden State Warriors stormed through the NBA Playoffs en route to becoming champions, Beats by Dr. Dre was ready to tip their caps to the team and to MVP Kevin Durant in particular.
After the yearlong "BE HEARD" campaign, during which "CHAMPIONS WILL BE HEARD" was one chapter, we wanted to put an exclamation on everything. The solution? Switch WILL BE HEARD to simply HEARD, and accentuate the long journey with other past tense action verbs.
I helped create the concept and copy for the videos, digital assets, social gifs, and kickass wild poster campaign throughout Oakland. The night they clinched the championship, the campaign was ready.
