Capcom • Eye of Dante App

Eye of Dante was an integrated campaign to promote the new video game DmC (aka "Devil May Cry") and was centered around a mobile app for iPhone/Android devices. The app was the first of its kind, combining augmented reality with social gamification, while also allowing users to earn points they could later redeem for in-game rewards via their Playstation or Xbox. Participants were sent on weekly missions where they could use the app as an "eye" to uncover hidden messages in the real world, just like Dante, the protagonist in the game.
