LA 2024 Olymbic Bid City
We were tasked with developing the identity and pitch packs for LA's initial bid to host the 2024 Olympic Games.
Taking inspiration from the 84 games, the energy, excitement and opportunity of the city itself, the logo and was a bold approach to Olympic logos.
We wanted the logo to have the ethos of the city that is home to both Hollywood and N.W.A. as well as nod the USA as a whole .
Sadly the city lost the initial bid to Boston in the initial phases of the bid process.
Subsequently Boston withdrew and LA was able to bid again. The team in charge of the bid changed and a new brand was introduced, created by 72andSunny & Bruce Mau Design.
