Shots Fired: Internet Connected Geolocating Gun

This internet connected gun hack records the location of where the gun was discharged and maps it, along with information about its owner. Using both cellular and RF to reduce the size of the prototype on the gun while maximizing connectivity and versatility, the Shots Fired hack showcases the potential of simple connected devices to surveillance, safety, and accountability. IoT Gun hardware and software by Christine Sunu, collaborating with BuzzFeed News Video for video production and with BuzzFeed Reporter Alex Kantrowitz for reporting.
