How do you get HP employees excited about splitting into 2 companies? Engage them and let their voices be heard.
We did just that by creating a microsite that allowed employees to create their own avatar, providing tools for them to customize their persona, while keeping a stylistic look that unified everyone. They were also encouraged to broadcast their thoughts about the new company for all to see via an online digital hub and physically via a wall of monitors at each launch event held in 18 cities around the world.
We also created a Kinect based video game that challenges employees to work together to get the highest score. Cooperation was the winning strategy and the outcome was happy employees.
