In 2014, following two years as a contributing writer, I was asked to join KALEIDOSCOPE’s editorial team. I play numerous roles in the organization’s multi-platform presence: as Head Copy Editor, I oversee the proofing process for all outgoing materials, including the International and Asian printed editions (each published quarterly), all online content, all peripheral projects (monographs, artist books, etc.), and all press/social media content. In addition to ensuring grammatical precision and readability, I developed the guidelines for an overarching house style, allowing the magazine to retain a consistent, singular brand voice across all platforms. Additionally, in my role as a Content Editor, I work with my colleagues in the editorial team towards developing and implementing concepts for each new issue, project, and event. This includes pitching themes and features, as well as commissioning writers, photographers, and designers to realize these ideas, allowing the magazine to build a thriving network of talented producers. In taking on these roles, I have continued to contribute written content to each printed issue, conducting interviews, profiling relevant artists and events, and composing full-length features on such topics as digital conservation and the historical motif of “the artist-as-tourist.”
