Mostly Professional

Sometimes my friends ask me to write them professional bios.
Sometimes they regret it.

"Mostly Professional" is a project that began when a few friends asked me to write professional bios for them, and they got back something a little less professional than they’d expected. I’d had to write my own self-deprecating-yet-still-weirdly-self-promotional biography to help try to find myself a job, and it snowballed pretty quickly from there. Then I decided to turn it into a book, and I decided team up with talented illustrator Justin Volz to really make 20 of the mini-biographies come to life in a unique, fun way.

Each bio presents a sort of bizarrely endearing portrait of friends and siblings that is technically accurate, if not exactly comprehensive.
