Kokatat Website Redesign
When Kokatat decided to launch into the direct-to-consumer business, they came to us needing a full overhaul of their website. I was lucky enough to wear both the UX and the designer hats for the project.
Starting out with the UX, I created a site map and user click paths, overhauled the information architecture on the site, and built wireframes for a set of templates that seamlessly melded e-commerce and brand storytelling across e-commerce pages, a custom blog, and a dry-suit configurator built just for Kokatat.
From there I created tone boards that were inspired by the natural environment around Arcata, CA—where the company's headquarters is located—and ultimately the overall design for the site evolved effortlessly out of that initial look and feel.
