Red Bull - Art of the Can

Via a custom control board, attendees of the 2015 Red Bull Art of The Can event were able to mix audio-visuals in real time for projection on Philadelphia's City Hall. This was the first-of-its-kind installation spread across the 300 foot wide Western façade of City Hall. The first part of my involvement with this project involved the mock-up and development of the interactive components, LED lights, and signal processing that would live inside of the custom control board. All of this was mocked up and tested with an Arduino, a Mac Mini, and MaxMSP before being sent out to the fabricators for final installation. I was also in tasked with familiarizing myself with and operating the newly built TouchDesigner media server system. Before the event, this meant adding any additional functionality as needed as well as making sure the control board system communicated properly with TouchDesigner. During the event, this meant projection mapping the building, as well as operating the server while the event took place.
