Kodama

Kodama is a swarm of hundreds of independent light modules that respond to ambient light. Visitors to the installation are invited to play and experiment with those "digital fireflies" by utilizing anything from flashlights and phones to camera flashes. If a ray of light hits any one of the ping pong ball sized LED modules they start to shine. Due to this interplay the twinkle of the Kodama guides wanderers through the darkness of the nocturnal forest.
