ESPN’s SportsNation is a popular TV show that gives fans a forum to air their grievances and voice their opinions on a range of sports-related topics via their “Pulse of the Nation” poll questions.
To help promote the show and the espnW (ESPN for women) brand, we created the “2015 Pulse of the Nation Tour.” We took the show on the road and hit up various sporting events throughout the country, making sure to take the pulse of each city we visited through event and city specific poll questions.
And to increase participation, we created an Instagram contest around the tour to help spread the word. All fans needed to do was answer our poll questions in an Instagram video, post it, and tag it with the hashtag #SNsweepstakes for a chance to win cool swag and prizes, including a grand prize trip for 2 to ESPN headquarters.
