Projecto Concerto

Projecto Concerto was born through Thought at Work, a student run design conference held at RIT. We were tasked with running the lounge, a space to relax and enjoy interactive games while sipping coffee and socializing. The team decided on the motif of light, inspired by the bright space we were assigned and the exiting possibilities of mixing light with this year's themes of shape, texture, and moxie. The stage props team was working on making these textured jewel structures to place around the conference so I thought it would be interesting to light one up with projectors. Sabrina Nichols and I took over the project and created an experience that brought light and interaction to the lounge, allowing users to play with projected graphics with a MIDI keyboard.
