Okay
GE Appliance Matcher

This project started off as a Augmented Reality project with Google Tango, but changed direction as certain technical capabilities were not yet meeting performance expectations. This was realized after myself and the Tech Lead did our due diligence in testing the technology. We realized the measurement tolerance of Google Tango was too far off to create an app that would measure space for appliance placement and delivery into a home, so we went to GE and explained our situation and decided to move on to other concepts. We were asked what else we could do considering the time and budget constraints and we presented an in-store end-cap experience that would enable consumers to explore, match and discover GE products. Because appliance shopping is not a task that consumers do too often, we wanted to help consumers bridge their knowledge gap with an interactive experience based on their appliance usage. The end goal was to create a life sized experience, but to first start with a smaller version for mobile devices.
