The Many Lives of Erik Kessels

Winner of AIGA's Best 50 books, 50 covers 2017

I received a brief from Erik Kessels to create a concept for a book for Aperture Foundation NYC and CAMERA, Torino, which serve as an overview of the entirety of his artistic practice up to now. Using the title as inspiration, I proposed a playful and varied design of the book which has 5 different cases and 4 different covers, assembled in random, showing some of the many faces of Erik's work. The interior organises the multitude of projects into chapters with surprise encounters with the people in his work. I worked from the initial start of the concept through to production, including the edit and design of the book.
