“Bright” and “vibrant” were the key directions from UK magazine and website Computer Arts, which commissioned me to create an illustration for the inside cover of its Winter 2015 edition. This is definitely a sizeable accolade.

The focal point of the image is the “Design Matters” logo, so I wanted to build on the logo and create a little world of its own. I decided on a fairground route as it meant I could illustrate lots of exciting objects and shapes with a stripped down colour palette. My design was used across the print magazine and the iPad version, which I worked on in collaboration with an animator to give the piece some motion.
