New York Times - Modern Love

This project was a collaboration with the New York Times for their column Modern Love. Based on the article by Tim McEown, I’ve created an animated short film that tells the love story of Tim and his wife Sarah.

My idea for this piece was to create an abstract/poetic representation of Tim’s essay. Rather than representing his words through literal imagery, I used rhetorical figures like metaphors, exaggeration, metonymy, among others, to create new relationships between the images and the words.
