Ankylosing Spondylitis is a lifelong autoimmune disease, caused by inflammation in the spinal joints—and over time, can lead to fusion of the spine. AS usually begins in early adulthood, is more common in men, and is very difficult to diagnosis. Most assume the pain is mechanical, like a pulled muscle, but they are #PainfullyWrong. And as a young demographic they turn to the web seeking not only information, but each other. Our objective was to give them a place to come together for tips, news, support, and some much need laughter.
