The best and most obvious way to dispel the myths of New Mexico as a very dry place with nothing to do and little to see was to tell the truth. Within six months of the campaign’s launch, 3.1 tax dollars were returned for every dollar New Mexico spent on advertising. That 3-to-1 ratio was previously unheard of in the state.
