Mazarine

Mazarine is a third-wave coffeehouse in the heart of San Francisco. It approached Albertson Design to launch the brand, including naming and visual identity guidelines.

As a designer on the project, I drove the visual identity and took a particularily active role in the naming and messaging. Mazarine takes its inspriation from the Bibliothèque Mazarine, the first public library in France. It still stands today, and—much like coffeehouses in the Enlightenment—it is still a center of ideas, culture, and taste.
