Ally Bank: Straightforward

When the worst financial crisis since the Depression began in 2008, we were asked to launch a new bank. It was probably the worst time to ever launch a bank. People hated them. Each week, another one went under.

So we built a new one on being straightforward and honest. Our campaign demonstrated some of the shoddy everyday banking practices, while punking some poor kids in the process. Everything was filmed for real, with an improv actor and kids off the street who had no idea what was coming.
