French chemical giant PCAS rebranded itself and needed an fresh visual identity. With many innovations and products under their umbrella, PCAS has a hand in many industries, including pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and insulation tech. They are as foundational to the world we live in as chemistry is to matter.
With this analogy, I designed an identity system that takes inspiration from the building blocks of matter, with a balance of cold science and warm appeal. (Nope, you don't have to get the chemistry in order to get the brand!)
The initial iteration (shown below) came off as too similar to NFPA labels (you know, those diamond warnings in primary colors), so it was revised to have more dimension and variation potential. The goal is for the system to have capacity for evolution in order to reflect the growth over time of PCAS's many branches.
