Crazy Big Swim

Swim Across America came to Small Army hoping to break the Guinness World Record for the largest Swim Meet in the world. The event was from Labor Day to Columbus day and focused on swim teams around the country with swimmers ages 6-17. A coach would register their team, and each swimmer would pay $25 to participate, all proceeds benefitted the St. Jude Children's hospital. We created the event name and logo "Crazy Big Swim", highlighting the scale of this record-breaking event, and celebrating the crazy that comes with being a swimmer. That craziness includes the long hours spent in the pool, early morning practice, tiny bathing suits, hairy legs, and of course the competitive nature in each swimmer. In order to get the word out, and encourage team sign ups we created a social media presence across Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, with Instagram being our heaviest target. We sent coaches posters, clipboards, stickers and whistles, and sold Crazy Big Swim swag in our event store.
