In Argentina, the game of "low budgets" had been rising quickly. This was a uber low budget (for VFX at least) which was aiming to have a "Jamiroquai - Virtual Insanity" vibe (think that's kinda implicit, I'd think).
But the production value wasn't as high it should and MANY issues arose quickly. The set was wobbly, the camera was wobbly, the floor was plain dry concrete, and the lighting setup and set had many unfinished issues.
I had to build the whole set with my number 1 software (at that time) After Effects. Which didn't include a proper 3D capability... So, I had to build the whole set with flat cards and certain plugins: the plant, rug, Marmol/glass table, vase, floor lamp, painting frames, Butterflies are all 2.5D build-ups and 2D optical illusions. The floor was completely replaced and animated in After effects, as well as adding all the reflections for a more spotless/cleaner feel.
Also made all the Matte Paintings necessary: Clean up of the set, compositing of the frames, textures for the floor, rug design,
AND Directed/Coordinated the 3D portions. Liquid mixing in the transparent bucket, and the curtains. As well as the online of the whole piece.
True fun to work on... obviously stressful because of the amount. But real proud of the result.
