A project about New York’s instances of frustrating waste, Cake Angry is a series of images depicting ornate pastries being obliterated throughout the city’s urban environment.
After an advertising shoot for a famous baker, I was asked to throw away forty cakes. I was pretty ticked about all of the wasted food, and decided something should come that would frustrate others in the same way. The book of images is an homage to inefficiency, and aims to irritate at the sight of beautiful, decadent indulgences being wasted and viscerally destroyed.
