Tom Waits Experimental Video " The Ocean Doesn't Want Me Today"

This song rolled around in my head for many moons. As per usual, Tom Waits has the uncanny abililty to make profound musical poetry. I wanted to put images with this song but had no idea of a concept. Until one morning while I was walking my dog on the beach in Marina Del Rey after a rain storm. All this trash was dumped on the beach from the tide. It felt as if the ocean was sick of all this junk and puked it back up on the shores. i.e. "The Ocean Doesn't Want Me Today". We've all heard of trash, islands of trash strewn about the ocean. So to see it up close was some sight. Unlike any I'd ever seen. The irony was compelling. A place considered so beautiful was repulsively "trashed" overnight. I ran and got my camera and just started shooting. It was a synchronized moment for sure, in a Tom Waits sort of way. And the result, well to me, it's obvious.
