I had the wonderful opportunity to work alongside AzuKo* to conceptualize and design the evaluation of the Poplar Pavilion project, a temporary installation built by artist Alex Julyan in Poplar - a neighborhood of East London (UK) - during the summer of 2017.
This evaluation is a collection of quotes, thoughts and reflections from all of the Pavilion team members and volunteers, community members, local key stakeholders, and AzuKo. It is an assessment and presentation of the process and relationships that defined the Pavilion, and should act as a handbook for future engagers and commissioners to lead effective engagements.
The evaluation has been written and designed to capture the nonlinearities, the aesthetic and the general essence of the Pavilion.
