Women & War is a three-part project reexamining the roles of women in mythology through the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. Focusing on Sita and Draupadi, the project highlights how mythological women drive major events but are denied heroic status. The visual identity is established through physical interpretations: an accordion book of Sita’s trial by fire (later burned) and a sari printed with Draupadi’s disrobing, done by my collaborator. These are accompanied by a spiral-bound guide with annotated texts and essays. The project culminates in a physical exhibition and a virtual counterpart, critiquing the erasure of women’s agency in myth.
